1. Introduction

AFTERBLUE INCORPORATED, also operating as "Afterblue, Inc." ("Afterblue," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the website located at www.afterblue.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what limited personal information we collect through the Site, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

Afterblue is incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada. This Policy is intended to comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Because visitors may access the Site from outside Canada, this Policy also addresses the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), to the extent they apply.

2. Information We Collect

The Site is an informational brochure site describing Afterblue’s IT project management consulting services. As of the effective date above, the Site does not include a contact form, e-commerce checkout, user account system, or newsletter sign-up. We do not knowingly or actively collect personal information through the Site itself.

The only personal information Afterblue receives in connection with the Site is information you choose to send us directly — for example, by emailing info@afterblue.com or sending a meeting invitation — in which case we receive whatever you include (such as your name, email address, company name, and the content of your message).

The Site is hosted on Google Sites, a service of Google LLC. Google may automatically collect limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and general usage data) and set its own cookies for purposes such as security, fraud prevention, and service delivery, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Cookie Policy (policies.google.com/technologies/cookies). Afterblue does not control this collection and, as of the effective date above, has not installed any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of its own on the Site. If that changes — for example, if we add Google Analytics or a contact form — we will update this Policy accordingly.

3. How We Use Information

Any information you send us by email is used solely to respond to your inquiry, evaluate a potential engagement, or maintain our business relationship with you. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information with:

•  Service providers who host or support our Site or email (e.g., Google), who are bound by their own privacy and security terms;

•  Professional advisors (legal, accounting) on a need-to-know basis;

•  Regulators or authorities where required by law.

5. Consent

By emailing us or sending a meeting invitation, you consent to our collection and use of the information you provide for the purposes described above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at info@afterblue.com, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

6. Retention

We retain business correspondence and related personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law or professional/contractual obligations (e.g., record-keeping for tax or client-engagement purposes).

7. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information in our possession. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a breach of security safeguards occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to an individual, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and affected individuals as required under PIPEDA, and will maintain a record of any breach of security safeguards involving personal information under our control for at least 24 months, whether or not that breach meets the notification threshold.

8. Your Rights

Canadian Visitors (PIPEDA)

You have the right to access personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccuracies, and ask questions about how we handle your information. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at info@afterblue.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

EU/EEA Visitors (GDPR)

If GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing, by contacting us at info@afterblue.com. Afterblue does not direct marketing activities toward the EU or otherwise regularly monitor EU residents, so we do not believe GDPR generally applies to our processing — but we will honour these rights on request as a matter of good practice.

California Visitors (CCPA/CPRA)

Afterblue does not believe it meets the CCPA/CPRA's applicability thresholds (based on annual revenue, volume of consumer data processed, or revenue from selling/sharing personal information), and does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Even so, California residents may request to know what personal information we hold, request deletion, or contact us with questions at info@afterblue.com, and we will respond as a matter of good practice.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is directed at businesses and professionals and is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Anti-Spam (CASL)

Afterblue will not send you commercial electronic messages (e.g., marketing emails) without your consent, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Any such message will identify Afterblue, include our contact information, and provide a way to unsubscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or applicable law. The “Effective Date” above indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
