From
Tobi:
How
to describe this child whose wanderlust is equalled only by
her love for delightful food experiences?
Her composition: She's a simple girl, really. A mermaid at
heart, a country girl to the bone, a constantly changing mop
of hair and an arms-wide-open "Oh please just Love Me!"
approach to life and people.
Past and Present: She worked with hungry stomachs in a church
in Toronto for the past 5 years, so it's no wonder there's
a strong Food Drive in there. Big-city living was a hit-and
miss with this girl: she'd get to missing it once she was
left on her semi-annual trips, then come back and want to
hit herself. Presently she's floating somewhere in the Caribbean,
blonder, happier and much more tanned, catching up on 2 years
worth of reading and working out how to squeeze creative meals
out of the random selection of cans and packages of MSG Soup
on a certain boat.
Her Recipe for success: sun, water and new places to explore
- small wonder she's joined Maciek for the second part of
this great journey.

Her loves: a love of communicating, language and all things
wordy, and a consumming passion for deciding What's For Dinner.
In her past travels she wrote voluminous, detailed and mostly
entertaining travel updates ("What was That on
my Plate in California?" was a popular gastronomical
essay and "How Not to Get Lost in Paris" was an
educational tidbit) to a network of more than 100 friends
(most of them are still friends, at last tally) but now that
she can put updates on an actual website, there is no stopping
this WordLover.
Her outlook: Only infrequent rages and outbursts of temper,
occasional explosions of a 25-yr old sydrome called "I-still-don't-know-what-I-want-to-do-with-my-life",
a regular seasonal episode of running from"normal"
life into the Great Open, but most of the time she's pretty
content with going with the flow of God's incredible generosity
and grace. (If you don't already know about him, ask her and
she'll tell you what a nice Dad he is.)
Although even he's not sure what's for dinner tonight...
