Beautiful Chesapeake
We
got up and left before the sunrise being rewarded by spectacular
lights of the rising, well.. Sun.
I
am a bit nervous when sailing without the charts and we still
had couple of days before Norfolk where we pick up with ICW
for which charts were provided to us so kindly by Neal. They
were older chart kits for ICW from Norfolk to Jacksonville,
Florida. Neal got them some years ago from his friend who
passed away and Neal was sure the guy didn't need them anymore.
I said if his deceased friend asks for them I'll be more then
happy to return them to him. Neal said he would direct him
to me with no delay in such case.
Anywho,
I can't tell you how I navigated today because I am too embarrassed
about it. For what I know someone who is a sailor may read
this some day. All I want to share here is that we end up
anchoring after day of sailing in a most beautiful place you
could possibly imagine. We were in Virginia already and this
was the next river south of Rappahannock River
in the vicinity of Deltaville. Too bad my CAA atlas didn't
name this river. I want to come back there one day if I can.
