Chesapeake City, Maryland
Neal,
our new friend who was so generous with all the advise and
chart kits he gave us was expecting to see his daughter and
said that probably no one would mind if we docked here for
one more day. So we did. This guy was just the nicest person
you could meet and I was hoping we could hook up wit him and
sail down together for a few days. Unfortunately he wasn't
planning to go down to Baltimore
like we would so after spending some time shopping and chatting
we said good byes with our hope to see him again on our way
south. And we couldn't convince his daughter to be our shore
crew and drive around with her car from port to port. Neal
had a good chuckle at this.
Just
before we went to bed couple of gents rolled in and we had
this amazing chat. I mean these guys were so excited for us
to do this trip they were going to buy us detailed charts
of Chesapeake Bay and one, I think his name was Bill, the
accountant was seriously considering to drop his work for
a week and tug along with us in his sailboat which was in
Baltimore. We connected with these guys so well that they
provided us with their phone numbers and urged us to sail
down to Baltimore Yacht Club to meet them there. We gladly
accepted the invite since without the dinghy we are kind of
stranded to our boat unless some free dock comes along.
We
just had the best time here with all these supernice people.
We felt so much better being able to speak to somebody else
and socialize a bit. For us it made so much difference and
our moods were instantaneously lifted.
