Rochester - Oswego
Yeahhhh....We
are IN the USA. We raised our yellow flag, custom for saying
that we didn't check in yet. And again a 50 mile trip to our
next goal, the legendary harbour Oswego where proud sailors
used to take their mast down and hopefully still do.
The
wind was amazing, almost stormy. So we zipped down East. Maciek
made some fine pancakes on the way, the first time we actually
cooked during a sail. Somehow this one really bad anchorage
night miraculously fixed our motion sickness problems. It
seemed as if a switch had been flicked in our inside. We ate
greasy stuff, slept down below, reading, all during earnest
weather.
Anyway,
after a long day and numbed buns Oswego welcomed us around
7pm. We managed to call immigration via video phone and they're
going to send somebody to check us our tomorrow morning. We
hope it'll all work out. Later on some border police came
and checked if we were still staying on the boat and not terrorizing
the city. So far, it's all good. Maciek and Johannes, the
dream team says goodnight, cya tomorrow. Thank you all for
being at our sides.
Being
out in this little boat makes you more appreciate what you
had. (J)
