St. Marys, GA
Again
a bit out of the way but since it was only one of the handful
places we could visit in Georgia we sailed up the river to
visit the town of St. Marys.
The
town was truly gorgeous - just like you would expect from
a town in Georgia. Just make sure when you ask for directions
that people understand you are not driving - a strange concept
in North America. After few mile walk to the library we were
able to catch up with friendlies: we love you so much guys!
For
the night we dropped both of our anchors just in case. Just
in case happened about 2am when crazy current picked our boat
with both of her anchors and dragged her some couple of hundred
feet there and back. The current was so strong you would imagine
that we were doing some good 5 knots! Needles to say I didn't
sleep much the rest of the night and the next morning we took
off to cross into state of Florida.
Let
the fun begin!
