ICW - Virginia Cut
Intracostal
Waterway going through Virginia is somewhat disappointing.
Besides occasional jet fighter training right above our heads
this part compares poorly with let's say Upstate New York
Canal system, where canals are well kept and there are always
cute towns to visit and free docks to tie up to.
Basically
we are going through swamps in a very shallow water with occasional
terror rising sight of a huge tree trunk sticking up just
above waterline in the middle of the channel.
Naa,
we don't care much for it at all... at least the air temperature
is getting slowly better. In Chesapeake we had some Canadian
weather and I couldn't help but grim when I thought of Laurie
and my other friends getting their winter clothes out :)
