New Smyrna Beach
Somewhat
disappointed with opposing winds after having to motor the
whole God given day we settled at the dock in New Smyrna Beach.
If we only knew what a blessing this place is going to be!
It
was humid and hot as it can only get in this part of the US
of A. Finding out that grocery store which we needed pretty
badly by now was couple of miles we decided to see the nearby
town and after cools off we would boot to the store.
As
it happened the sweetest and friendliest person on the planet
was listening to us trying to shake off Jehovah Witness dude
who descended upon our boat and Johannes in particular.
She
offered us ride to the store and back which was an amazing
blessing considering the distance and temperature outside.
Donna was great to talk to. We loved her immediately, even
more so after she gave us bucket of ice cream:) We asked if
she would join us on the boat for some of it or a coffee.
After waiting for awhile there was ice cream no more - liberated
by two hungry boys who have not had any ice cream in more
than two months. Donna did came back and after awhile she
took us nowhere else but to the stake house where we made
a dent in cow population of this beautiful state. We had such
a great time with Donna. We were instantly friends and she
couldn't just stop blessing us with more.
Donna,
to borrow from U2 - I know that this is not good bye. I hope
we can catch up soon. We love you loads! Thanks you so much
for everything.
