Cobourg Marina
Once
again our plans to get to the Presquill Point were scraped
by the unfavorable winds. After we tuned into the weather
channel (thank you Matthew!) we found out that Environment
Canada issued small craft warning due to expected severe winds
and thunderstorms on Lake Ontario. We couldn't see any winds
never mind the severe ones, never the less obediently we make
our way to the closest port. We were still sick from last
night and we didn't mind setting our feet on something that
doesn't move all the time.
When
we tied in marina lake went berserk. We were so glad to be
somewhere sheltered. Cobourg Marina was very clean and in
excellent condition. Best marina we've seen yet. Being so
close to town we eagerly moved around on marina's bikes, enjoying
the friendly town and trying to forget the night before.
We
end up in the coffee shop called Human Bean, writing up for
this website, reading up some magazines and enjoying young
band called "agnostics". We personally are far away
from being agnostics but we enjoyed having other people around
listening to some live music. (M)
